Michael Page is partnering with a leading regional manufacturing and logistics organization to appoint a Regional Supply Planning Lead who will drive regional supply planning excellence across Asia Pacific as an individual contributor. This senior, hands-on role is based in Kuala Lumpur and offers a clear pathway into regional leadership. You will own end-to-end planning cycles, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and translate demand signals into actionable supply plans that maximize service levels while optimizing working capital.
In this role, you will manage regional planning processes across multiple markets, balancing demand forecasts, capacity constraints, production schedules, and inventory targets. You will work closely with Demand Planning, Procurement, Production, Logistics, and Sales to develop integrated S and OP plans, monitor performance, and implement improvements. The position requires hands-on execution, strong analytics, and the ability to influence stakeholders in a matrix environment. This is a high-visibility opportunity to shape regional supply planning practices and contribute to digital transformation within the function.
Key responsibilities include leading regional S and OP cycles, standardizing planning processes, and driving inventory optimization. You will monitor KPIs such as forecast accuracy, service levels, stock turns, and lead times, while developing risk mitigation strategies for supply constraints. You will also champion master data integrity, collaborate on system enhancements, and mentor junior planners to build a high-performing regional team. Responsibility
- Lead regional supply planning across Asia Pacific and own end-to-end planning horizon including demand, supply, inventory, and capacity alignment
- Collaborate with Demand Planning, Commercial, Procurement, Production, and Logistics to develop integrated S and OP plans and drive consensus across markets
- Monitor KPI performance such as forecast accuracy, service levels, inventory turns, and stockouts; implement data-driven improvements
- Manage safety stock levels and replenishment strategies; optimize replenishment policies across multiple markets
- Lead regional risk management for supply constraints; escalate issues and develop contingency plans with stakeholders
- Drive continuous improvement of planning processes; standardize tools, templates, and governance; lead digitalization initiatives
- Mentor and coach junior planners; share best practices and ensure high data quality and master data integrity in planning systems
- Partner with IT and ERP teams to implement new planning solutions and perform system upgrades
Qualification
- Bachelor's degree in supply chain, operations, engineering or related field; master’s preferred
- 7+ years of experience in supply planning within manufacturing or logistics; regional experience in Asia is a plus
- Strong knowledge of S&OP processes, forecasting methods, and inventory optimization; proven track record of delivering results
- Proficiency with ERP/MRP systems (SAP, Oracle) and advanced Excel; experience with data analytics tools (Power BI, Tableau) is a plus
- Excellent cross-functional collaboration and stakeholder management; ability to influence at senior levels
- Analytical problem-solving skills; ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced, matrix environment
- Professional certification in supply chain (CPIM, CSCP) is preferred
