Responsibility
- Design, optimize, and execute molecular biology experiments including PCR/qPCR, cloning, plasmid preparation, and cell-based assays.
- Develop, validate, and implement assays such as qPCR, ELISA, Western blot, and sequencing workflows.
- Plan experiments to meet project milestones and contribute to data-driven decision making and reporting.
- Maintain meticulous laboratory notebooks, SOPs, and ensure data integrity and compliance with safety standards.
- Collaborate with biochemists, bioinformaticians, and product teams to interpret results and translate findings into actionable plans.
- Prepare clear summaries of results for internal stakeholders and contribute to publications and grant proposals.
- Troubleshoot experimental challenges, optimize protocols, and identify opportunities for process improvements and automation.
Qualification
- Master's degree in biology, molecular biology, biochemistry, or a closely related field; PhD is a plus. 2+ years of relevant industry experience for MS candidates.
- Hands-on experience with molecular biology techniques including PCR/qPCR, cloning, gene expression analysis, plasmid design, and cell culture.
- Strong data analysis skills with familiarity in R, Python, or MATLAB and ability to interpret sequencing data.
- Experience with assay development and validation, including ELISA, Western blot, and related analytical methods.
- Excellent technical writing, documentation, and presentation skills; ability to communicate complex results clearly.
- Collaborative team player with strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
- Knowledge of biosafety practices and regulatory considerations; track record of working in compliant lab environments.
- Authorized to work in the United States or eligible to obtain work authorization.
