NovaBio Research Institute is seeking a highly motivated Senior Research Scientist to join our Molecular Biology team in Boston. This role leads innovative projects in gene regulation, genome editing, and assay development. You will work with a multidisciplinary team to translate discoveries into actionable insights, publish high impact manuscripts, and contribute to competitive grant proposals.

Responsibility
- Lead design and execution of molecular biology experiments including gene editing, sequencing, and expression analyses.
- Oversee daily lab operations, project planning, and quality control to ensure reproducible results.
- Develop and optimize protocols for CRISPR/Cas9 editing, qPCR, ELISA, and cell culture workflows.
- Analyze data using Python or R; prepare figures and presentations for stakeholders.
- Collaborate with cross functional teams on grant proposals, manuscripts, and regulatory documentation.
- Mentor and train junior scientists and technicians; supervise safety and compliance adherence.
- Maintain meticulous laboratory records and ensure compliance with biosafety and institutional guidelines.
Qualification
- PhD in Biology, Molecular Biology, or a related field; or an MS with 5+ years of hands on laboratory experience.
- 5+ years of hands-on experience in molecular biology techniques including CRISPR, qPCR, cloning, and cell culture.
- Proven track record with data analysis using Python or R; strong statistical understanding.
- Experience managing projects, timelines, and mentoring staff.
- Excellent written and verbal communication; demonstrated publication record.
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Knowledge of biosafety, regulatory compliance, and quality control standards.
