Job description

PT WAHANA INTI SELARAS is seeking a motivated Sales Executive to promote and sell John Deere tractors and equipment to farmers and agribusinesses in Kotawaringin Barat and the broader Central Kalimantan region. This contract position offers an excellent opportunity to represent a trusted global brand while delivering tailored solutions that increase productivity and profitability for our customers.

In this role, you will build strong relationships with farmers, cooperatives, and agribusinesses, understand their farming practices, and recommend the right mix of tractors, implements, and supporting services. You will manage the sales cycle from lead generation to closing, prepare compelling proposals, and coordinate with our service and parts teams to ensure seamless delivery and on-site installation or training. A successful candidate will be comfortable traveling in rural districts, conducting product demonstrations, and negotiating terms that meet both customer needs and company targets.

Responsibility

  • Develop and execute regional sales plans to achieve quarterly targets for John Deere tractors and equipment.
  • Identify, prospect, and engage farmers, cooperatives, agribusinesses, and dealers in the Kotawaringin Barat region; conduct on-site demonstrations and product demonstrations.
  • Prepare accurate quotations, negotiate terms, and close sales while maintaining profitability and customer satisfaction.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with customers; provide after-sales support, training, and product usage guidance.
  • Track sales activities and pipeline using a CRM system; provide regular reports on progress and forecasts to the sales manager.
  • Coordinate with service, parts, and logistics teams to ensure timely delivery, installation, and training.
  • Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and customer needs; adjust sales strategies accordingly.
  • Represent the company at local events, fairs, and demonstrations to raise brand awareness and generate leads.

Qualification

  • Minimum 2 years of field sales experience, preferably in agricultural equipment or durable goods in rural or semi-rural markets.
  • Strong communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills with a customer-centric mindset.
  • Knowledge of farming practices and ability to understand customer needs; consultative selling experience.
  • Familiarity with John Deere product lines is a plus; willingness to learn and complete product training.
  • Ability to travel within the assigned region; valid driver's license; willingness to travel frequently.
  • Self-motivated, target-driven, and capable of working independently and as part of a team.
  • Proficiency with basic CRM systems and Microsoft Office; data-driven with good reporting skills.
