Metro Retail Stores Group is seeking a proactive Selling Supervisor to lead the Baybay City department in our Metro Baybay supermarket. This role is ideal for a motivated retail professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment, delivering outstanding customer service while driving sales and operational excellence.
As Selling Supervisor, you will direct and monitor all department phases, including operations, sales performance, competitiveness, cost controls, product presentation, and safety for customers and colleagues. You will work closely with store management to implement merchandising plans, optimize stock levels, schedule staff, and ensure compliance with company policies and safety standards.

Responsibility
- Directs and monitors all department operations including sales, customer service, inventory, merchandising, and cost controls.
- Leads staffing, scheduling, training, and performance coaching of department associates.
- Drives sales growth by executing promotional plans, optimizing product visibility, and cross-selling opportunities.
- Ensures compliance with safety, security, and loss-prevention protocols; maintains a safe and welcoming store environment.
- Analyzes daily/weekly sales, stock levels, and shrinkage; coordinates with buyers and store management to maintain optimal stock.
- Oversees customer service standards, handles escalations, and ensures a positive shopping experience.
- Collaborates with store management to achieve store KPIs and contributes to budget attainment.
Qualification
- Minimum 2-3 years of supervisory experience in retail or supermarket environments.
- Strong leadership and team-building skills with the ability to motivate and develop staff.
- Excellent communication and customer service orientation.
- Knowledge of POS systems, cash handling, inventory management, and basic merchandising.
- Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret sales data and make data-driven decisions.
- High school diploma required; college degree preferred.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays, as needed.
