Quanta Research Institute invites applications for a motivated Academic Researcher to join our interdisciplinary team in Cambridge, MA. The successful candidate will design, execute, and interpret cutting-edge studies across domains such as computational biology, materials science, or psychology. Responsibility
- Design and implement research studies aligned with project goals and hypotheses.
- Lead data collection, curation, quality control, and reproducible workflows.
- Perform advanced statistical analyses and interpret results with rigor.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including engineering, biology, and social science researchers.
- Prepare figures, tables, and manuscripts for publications and conference presentations.
- Contribute to grant proposals and progress reports with strong experimental rationale.
- Mentor graduate students and junior staff, and supervise data management and code development.
Qualification
- PhD in a relevant field or equivalent research experience; or currently pursuing PhD with a strong publication record.
- Proven track record of independent research and scholarly output.
- Proficiency in data analysis, statistics, and experimental design.
- Experience with Python, R, MATLAB, or similar tools; familiarity with reproducible research practices.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills; ability to present complex results clearly.
- Ability to manage multiple projects, meet deadlines, and collaborate effectively in a multidisciplinary team.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
