We are seeking a Senior Agribusiness Manager to drive growth, optimize operations, and lead cross-functional teams in the Salinas region. This role blends strategy, operations, and field execution to deliver sustainable, high-quality agriculture products and services.
As a strategic leader, you will partner with growers, processors, and retailers to scale our portfolio while upholding the highest standards of safety, sustainability, and customer satisfaction.
Responsibility
- Lead end-to-end operational planning across farming operations, processing, and distribution to ensure on-time, on-budget execution.
- Develop and manage annual budgets, financial forecasting, and KPI dashboards to drive accountability and continuous improvement.
- Build and manage supplier relationships, procurement strategies, and contract negotiations to optimize cost and quality.
- Drive revenue growth through market expansion, customer partnerships, and product development aligned with agribusiness goals.
- Lead cross-functional teams including cultivation, agronomy, product, marketing, and sales to execute strategic initiatives.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory, food safety, and sustainability standards; implement traceability, quality control, and risk management practices.
- Embed data-driven farming and supply chain optimization using ERP, analytics, and digital tools to improve yield and efficiency.
Qualification
- Bachelor's degree in Agricultural Economics, Agribusiness, Supply Chain Management, or related field; MBA preferred
- 5+ years in agribusiness, agriculture operations, or agricultural technology roles
- Proven experience in supply chain management, procurement, and vendor negotiations
- Strong leadership and ability to manage cross-functional teams
- Data-driven mindset with proficiency in ERP systems, CRM, and analytics tools
- Excellent communication skills in English; willingness to travel up to 20 percent
- Knowledge of regulatory requirements, food safety, and sustainability standards
