As our Senior Agribusiness Operations Manager, you will shape operational strategy, drive efficiency, and foster collaborative partnerships across cross-functional teams.
Responsibility
- Lead end-to-end agribusiness operations in the Des Moines hub, ensuring supply, quality, and profitability across products and services.
- Develop and execute procurement strategies, negotiate supplier contracts, and optimize vendor performance.
- Oversee logistics, inventory management, and warehousing to minimize costs and maximize service levels.
- Partner with product, sales, and agronomy teams to align offerings with market demand and customer needs.
- Implement data-driven processes using ERP and analytics tools to forecast demand, manage risk, and improve KPIs.
- Ensure compliance with food safety, quality standards, and regulatory requirements across all operations.
- Build and lead a high-performing cross-functional team, mentor talent, and drive a culture of continuous improvement.
Qualification
- Bachelor or higher in agricultural economics, agribusiness, supply chain, or a related field; MBA preferred.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in agribusiness operations, supply chain, or farm management, with a track record of delivering results.
- Strong procurement, vendor management, and contract negotiation skills.
- Proficiency with ERP and SCM systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and advanced data analytics (Excel, BI tools).
- Excellent leadership, collaboration, and communication skills; ability to influence across functions.
- Knowledge of food safety and regulatory standards (FSMA, GlobalGAP, HACCP) and sustainability practices.
- Willingness to travel up to 20% as needed and ability to work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
