GreenField AgroTech is seeking a results-driven Senior Agribusiness Operations Manager to lead end-to-end operations across our Salinas valley supply chain. This role blends farming best practices with data-driven logistics to ensure fresh, high-quality produce reaches retailers and consumers on time.
As part of the leadership team, you will drive process optimization, supplier partnerships, and compliance with food safety standards, while building a scalable operations backbone for rapid growth.
Responsibility
- Lead end-to-end supply chain from farm to customer, optimizing cost, freshness, and traceability.
- Develop and implement demand forecasting, inventory planning, and replenishment strategies.
- Manage vendor selection, negotiation, onboarding, and performance management for growers, processors, and logistics partners.
- Ensure compliance with food safety standards (HACCP, GMP) and regulatory audits; drive continuous improvement.
- Drive data-driven decision making using ERP and analytics to improve KPIs such as OTIF, waste, and cost per unit.
- Lead cross-functional teams across farming, procurement, warehousing, and transportation to deliver results.
- Oversee CAPEX planning, equipment maintenance, and digitalization initiatives (automation, ERP optimization).
- Champion sustainability and risk management across operations, including contingency planning.
Qualification
- Bachelor's degree in Agricultural Economics, Supply Chain Management, Business, or related field; MBA preferred.
- 7+ years of experience in agribusiness operations, supply chain management, or related field.
- Proven track record leading large-scale operations with P&L responsibility; experience in farm-to-market logistics.
- Proficiency with ERP systems (SAP, Oracle) and analytics tools (Excel, Power BI, Tableau).
- Strong vendor management, contract negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
- In-depth knowledge of HACCP, GMP, USDA/FDA food safety regulations; internal audit experience.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and change management abilities; proven team builder.
- Ability to travel up to 25% to field sites and partner locations; bilingual English/Spanish preferred.
