Aurora Skyways International is seeking a seasoned Senior Airline Pilot to join our Seattle-based operations. This role leads flight crews, upholds the highest safety standards, and delivers exceptional operational performance across our modern fleet.
As a Captain, you will be accountable for flight safety, regulatory compliance, and the execution of flight missions with precision and leadership. You will collaborate with dispatch, maintenance, and ground operations to sustain on-time performance and customer satisfaction.
Responsibility
- Lead the cockpit crew and manage all phases of flight from pre-flight planning to post-flight debrief.
- Ensure compliance with FAA regulations, company SOPs, and industry best practices at all times.
- Perform thorough pre-flight planning, including flight planning, fuel calculations, MEL checks, and weather analysis.
- Make timely decisions in normal and abnormal operations, maintaining situational awareness and CRM with the crew and dispatch.
- Oversee crew resource management, training needs, and mentorship for junior pilots.
- Coordinate with maintenance and operations to optimize reliability and on-time performance.
- Lead safety initiatives, participate in incident investigations, and contribute to SOP updates.
Qualification
- Airline Transport Pilot (ATP) certificate with current medical certification.
- Minimum of 5,000 total flight hours with at least 2,000 hours as Pilot-in-Command on multi-engine jets.
- Current type rating on at least one commercial jet (e.g., 737, A320) with recent flight experience.
- Proven IFR proficiency, weather interpretation, and strong decision-making under pressure.
- Excellent CRM, communication skills, and leadership ability; track record of teamwork and safety.
- Eligible to work in the United States and willing to relocate to the Seattle area if applicable; clean regulatory history.
- Proficiency with modern flight decks, FMS, EFB, and autothrottle systems.
