We are a premier law practice in New York City seeking a Senior Associate Lawyer to join our Corporate and Litigation teams. This is a high-impact role for an attorney who thrives in a fast-paced environment, delivers results for complex clients, and demonstrates outstanding professional integrity.
As part of our team, you will counsel clients on corporate transactions, supervise due diligence, draft and negotiate sophisticated contracts, and represent clients in civil litigation as needed. You will work closely with partners to develop strategy, manage matters, and mentor junior associates.
Responsibility
- Draft, negotiate, and finalize sophisticated commercial contracts, joint venture agreements, and licensing arrangements.
- Advise clients on corporate governance, compliance, regulatory issues, and risk management.
- Lead due diligence and coordination for mergers and acquisitions, financing arrangements, and restructurings.
- Manage and supervise matters, including drafting pleadings, motions, and settlement negotiations.
- Litigate and advocate in appropriate forums; coordinate with litigation teams on strategy and discovery.
- Develop strong client relationships and provide strategic risk assessment with clear recommendations.
- Mentor junior associates, review work product, and contribute to business development.
Qualification
- Juris Doctor (JD) from an ABA-accredited law school; admission to the New York Bar.
- 5+ years of experience in corporate law and/or litigation, with a track record of high-stakes matters.
- Experience with mergers and acquisitions, commercial contracts, due diligence, and governance matters.
- Excellent negotiation, drafting, and oral advocacy skills.
- Ability to manage multiple matters, meet deadlines, and work across teams.
- Strong client-facing communication, professional presence, and ethical standards.
- Proficiency with legal research tools and matter-management software.
