Responsibility
- Manage and lead complex commercial litigation matters from inception to resolution, including trial preparation and post-trial activities.
- Develop case strategy, draft pleadings, motions, discovery requests, and responses, and supervise discovery workflows.
- Conduct in-depth legal research, apply relevant precedents, and present compelling arguments in court or arbitration.
- Advise clients on risk assessment, settlement strategies, and opportunities for alternative dispute resolution.
- Lead, mentor, and supervise junior associates and paralegals; coordinate cross-functional teams to meet deadlines.
- Collaborate with partners on business development, client relationships, and firm growth initiatives.
Qualification
- Juris Doctor from an ABA-accredited law school and admission to the New York State Bar (or eligibility for admission within 12 months).
- Minimum 7 years of commercial litigation experience with a demonstrable track record of success.
- Excellent legal research, writing, and oral advocacy skills; persuasive argumentation and courtroom presence.
- Strong client management capabilities and experience in advising corporate clients on risk and strategy.
- Ability to manage multiple matters, prioritize work, and lead teams under tight deadlines.
- Proficiency with e-discovery tools, case management software, and Microsoft Office Suite; familiarity with litigation analytics is a plus.
