AutoTech Innovations is shaping the future of mobility. We are seeking a Senior Automotive Engineer to lead powertrain and vehicle integration initiatives in Detroit, MI. This role blends design, testing, and cross-functional collaboration to deliver high‑performance, safe, and reliable vehicles.
You'll work with a global team of engineers, suppliers, and manufacturing partners to drive product development from concept to production, delivering value to customers and stakeholders.
Responsibility
- Lead powertrain and vehicle integration activities across concept, design, and validation phases.
- Collaborate with design, manufacturing, and purchasing teams to define requirements and ensure manufacturability.
- Develop and execute test plans, analyze results, and implement corrective actions.
- Use CAE/CAD tools to model systems and generate detailed specifications.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards and safety guidelines (ISO 26262).
- Mentor junior engineers and coordinate cross-functional teams to meet milestones.
- Interface with suppliers for parts specification, DVP&R, and quality assurance.
Qualification
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Automotive, Electrical Engineering or related field; Master’s preferred.
- Minimum 5 years of automotive engineering experience with powertrain or chassis systems.
- Proficiency with CAD (CATIA, NX) and CAE tools; hands-on prototyping experience.
- Strong knowledge of FMEA, DPV, DVP&R, and design verification.
- Experience with ISO 26262 or related functional safety standards.
- Excellent communication, project management, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
- U.S. work authorization; ability to travel as needed.
