Job description
Join AutoNova Innovations, a premier automotive technology leader shaping the future of connected mobility. We are seeking a Senior Automotive Systems Engineer to own complex control architectures across powertrain, chassis, and domain integration. You will drive system-level decisions, partner with software and hardware teams, and deliver high-performance, safe, and reliable solutions for next-generation vehicles.
This role blends technical leadership with hands-on engineering, offering an outstanding opportunity to impact vehicle performance, safety, and customer experience in a fast-evolving market.
Responsibility
- Lead the design and optimization of embedded control systems for powertrain and chassis applications, ensuring performance, reliability, and safety.
- Define system requirements and architecture, aligning with program goals and regulatory standards.
- Develop and validate control algorithms using MATLAB/Simulink; collaborate with software and hardware teams to implement AUTOSAR-based solutions.
- Lead verification and validation activities, including bench tests, dynamic driving tests, and model-based design iterations.
- Champion functional safety efforts (ISO 26262) across the lifecycle, including hazard analysis and safety case development.
- Mentor junior engineers, oversee technical risk assessments, and drive best-practice standards.
- Coordinate with external suppliers and OEM partners to ensure timely delivery and integration.
- Support requirements traceability, risk management, and product documentation for regulatory and customer audits.
Qualification
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, or related field.
- Minimum 7-10 years of automotive systems engineering experience with embedded control systems.
- Strong proficiency in C/C++, MATLAB/Simulink, and model-based design; experience with AUTOSAR is preferred.
- Hands-on experience with CAN/CAN FD, LIN, and vehicle networks; real-time operating systems and debugging tools.
- Solid understanding of powertrain and/or chassis control concepts; familiarity with EV/HEV architectures is a plus.
- Experience with ISO 26262 functional safety, safety case development, and hazard analysis.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and cross-functional collaboration skills; proven project delivery track record.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, matrixed organization and travel as needed.
