Join Aurora Bank & Trust, a premier financial institution in London, as our Senior Banking Compliance & Risk Manager. This role combines regulatory risk oversight, data-driven analysis, and cross-functional leadership to safeguard customers and the bank's integrity.
In this position you will lead the design and execution of risk controls, regulatory reporting, and governance initiatives across retail, SME, and corporate banking.
Responsibility
- Lead regulatory compliance programs aligning with FCA/PRA guidelines and Basel standards.
- Develop and monitor risk controls, policies, and procedures for all banking lines.
- Oversee KYC/AML onboarding and ongoing due diligence, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
- Coordinate regulatory reporting, capital planning, and stress testing with relevant departments.
- Collaborate with IT and data analytics to implement risk dashboards and data-driven insights.
- Provide training and guidance to product, operations, and risk teams on compliance requirements.
- Manage audits, findings, and remediation plans with a proactive, solution-focused mindset.
Qualification
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Law, or related field; advanced certification (ACAMS, ICA, CFA) preferred.
- 5+ years in banking or financial services with regulatory compliance experience.
- Strong knowledge of FCA/PRA regulations, AML/KYC frameworks, and Basel II/III requirements.
- Proficiency in SQL and data analysis; experience with BI tools (Power BI, Tableau) is a plus.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills; ability to influence stakeholders across functions.
- Proven track record delivering risk controls and regulatory reporting in a fast-paced environment.
