AstraBio Therapeutics is a leading biotechnology company advancing translational genomics and precision biology. We seek a Senior Biologist to lead experimental programs, collaborate across disciplines, and drive scientifically rigorous results.
As part of our genomics team you will design experiments, optimize assays, and contribute to project plans, data interpretation, and publication quality outputs in a fast paced, collaborative environment.
Responsibility
- Lead experimental design for genomics and molecular biology projects, ensuring robust controls and reproducibility
- Plan and execute in vitro and in vivo studies as applicable, including assay development and optimization
- Analyze and interpret sequencing and expression data, collaborating with bioinformatics and data science teams
- Mentor junior scientists and manage day to day lab operations and safety compliance
- Collaborate with Translational Science and Product teams to align research with strategic goals
- Prepare reports, presentations, and manuscript sections for internal reviews and external publications
Qualification
- PhD in Biology, Genetics, Molecular Biology, or related field or equivalent postdoc experience
- 5+ years of hands on experience in molecular biology and genomics workflows
- Proficiency with next generation sequencing libraries and analysis tools; experience with CRISPR and gene editing
- Strong data analysis skills using Python or R; experience with bioinformatics pipelines
- Excellent communication skills and ability to present complex results clearly
- Experience leading or mentoring teams and managing multiple projects
