Job description
We are seeking a results-driven Senior Biotech Scientist to join our pioneering life sciences team in Boston. This role offers the opportunity to lead disruptive research programs, translate discoveries into scalable processes, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to advance novel therapies.
As a key member of the R&D group, you will design and execute experiments, interpret complex data, and contribute to the development of robust assays and manufacturing workflows. You will mentor junior scientists, ensure compliance with GLP and GMP standards, and communicate progress to stakeholders.
What you will do includes designing experiments, optimizing protocols, managing timelines, and driving quality and reproducibility in all work streams. You will partner with translational science, product development, and operations to bring innovative solutions from bench to bedside.
Responsibility
- Lead design and execution of molecular biology and cellular assays to support product development.
- Develop robust, scalable protocols and SOPs that meet quality and compliance standards.
- Analyze data with statistical software, generate clear summaries for stakeholders, and present findings.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (R&D, Quality, Manufacturing) to advance programs from concept to validation.
- Mentor and train junior scientists; contribute to performance reviews and career development.
- Ensure adherence to GLP/GMP practices and support a culture of safety and ethics.
- Drive continuous improvement and implement new technologies to accelerate discovery.
Qualification
- PhD or Master's degree in Life Sciences with 5+ years industry experience in biotech R&D
- Proven expertise in molecular biology, cell culture, and assay development
- Hands-on experience with CRISPR, protein purification, ELISA, qPCR
- Strong data analysis skills using Python, R, or equivalent; ability to interpret complex results
- Excellent written and verbal communication; ability to present to cross-functional groups
- Experience with GLP/GMP environments and regulatory documentation
- Track record of leading projects and mentoring junior scientists
