GenNova Biologics is seeking a highly motivated Senior Scientist to join our Biotechnology team in Cambridge, MA. This role offers the opportunity to lead cutting edge programs in therapeutic protein development, from discovery through early development. You will work with a collaborative, cross functional team and have access to state of the art facilities and resources.
As a senior member of the R&D group, you will design and execute experiments, optimize production processes, and contribute to strategic planning and decision making. This is a hands on role with leadership responsibilities and ample opportunities for publication and technology advancement.
Responsibility
- Lead design and execution of biomolecule production experiments including culture, expression, and purification
- Develop and optimize analytical assays to characterize product candidates and process performance
- Plan, execute, and interpret experiments with robust data generation and interpretation
- Collaborate with R&D, Process Development, Quality Assurance, and Regulatory teams to meet program milestones
- Mentor and coach junior scientists; ensure rigorous documentation and SOP compliance
- Ensure safety, quality systems, GLP/GMP practices where applicable and maintain clean, compliant labs
- Communicate findings through internal reviews and presentations; contribute to publications and patent filings as appropriate
Qualification
- PhD in Biology, Biochemistry, Molecular Biology, Chemical Engineering or related field; or MS with 5+ years of industry experience
- 5+ years hands on experience with mammalian cell culture, protein expression and purification
- Strong track record in project leadership, collaboration, and data-driven decision making
- Proficiency in data analysis tools such as GraphPad Prism, Python or R
- Experience with GMP/GLP environments and regulatory documentation
- Excellent communication, presentation, and mentoring skills
- Ability to thrive in a fast paced, cross functional team and manage multiple priorities
