Join Lumen & Loom, a premium branding studio based in New York, where strategy meets craft. We’re seeking a Senior Brand Designer to lead the creation and evolution of brand systems for global clients. You’ll transform insights into compelling identities, guiding stakeholders from concept through to high-impact execution across digital, packaging, and environmental touchpoints.
This is a hands-on design leadership role for a collaborative creator who thrives in a fast-paced studio and believes great brands start with clarity, consistency, and a bold point of view.
Responsibility
- Lead development of comprehensive brand systems and visual identities, including guidelines, components, and governance.
- Translate brand strategy into creative concepts and scalable design across digital, packaging, and environmental formats.
- Collaborate with product, marketing, and creative teams to ensure brand consistency and impact.
- Mentor and review work of junior designers; contribute to creative direction and critique sessions.
- Present concepts to clients with compelling storytelling and data-driven rationale.
- Oversee asset production, from typography and color to motion and packaging assets.
- Manage timelines, budgets, and production processes in a fast-paced studio.
- Help shape naming, positioning, and brand architecture for multi-product ecosystems.
Qualification
- 5+ years of branding design experience with a strong portfolio demonstrating brand systems and identity work.
- Proven ability to craft strategic brand stories and scalable visual identities.
- Proficiency in Figma, Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop); familiarity with motion is a plus.
- Experience across digital, packaging, and environmental branding; strong typography and grid systems.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills; comfortable leading workshops and client conversations.
- Strong collaboration and mentorship skills; ability to influence stakeholders and align cross-functional teams.
- Bachelor's degree in Design, Branding, Graphic Design, or a related field (or equivalent professional experience).
- Knowledge of design systems, naming, and brand governance; a data-driven mindset is a bonus.
