NovaChem Solutions, a leading innovator in sustainable chemical manufacturing, is seeking an experienced Chemical Engineer to join our Houston-based team. This role offers the chance to drive plant-wide process design, optimization, and scale-up for high-throughput production lines. Responsibility
- Lead process design and optimization efforts for ongoing and new production lines to improve yield, energy efficiency, and emissions performance.
- Scale laboratory developments to pilot and full-scale plant operations, ensuring robust scale-up strategies.
- Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams (R&D, operations, safety, quality) to deliver safe and compliant processes.
- Conduct process simulations (Aspen Plus, HYSYS) and data analytics to drive data-based decision making.
- Perform hazard analysis, risk assessments, and ensure adherence to HSE standards (HAZOP, LOPA).
- Support capital project execution, cost estimation, and commissioning activities.
- Mentor junior engineers and provide technical guidance across process engineering activities.
Qualification
- Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering; Master's degree preferred.
- 5+ years of experience in process engineering within chemical manufacturing or related sector.
- Proficiency with process simulation tools (Aspen Plus, HYSYS) and data analytics.
- Strong knowledge of process safety, environmental compliance, and quality systems.
- Excellent problem-solving, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
- Project management experience and ability to manage multiple priorities with timelines.
- Willingness to travel up to 20% as needed for site projects.
