NorthStar Skyways is seeking a highly skilled Senior Commercial Pilot to join our Seattle-based team. This is an opportunity to lead flight operations on modern jet fleets, maintain exceptional safety standards, and deliver outstanding passenger experiences.
As a Senior Commercial Pilot, you will serve as Captain on designated routes, mentor junior pilots, and collaborate with operations, flight dispatch, and maintenance teams to optimize reliability and efficiency. This is a full-time role with competitive compensation and comprehensive benefits.
Responsibility
- Lead flight operations as Captain on assigned routes, ensuring safety, regulatory compliance, and on-time performance.
- Oversee flight planning, weather analysis, fuel planning, MEL compliance, and performance calculations.
- Coordinate with dispatch, ops control, ATC, and maintenance to ensure safe and efficient operations.
- Demonstrate exemplary CRM within multi-crew environments and mentor junior pilots.
- Oversee pre-flight, in-flight, and post-flight procedures, including risk assessments and checklists.
- Review flight logs, safety data, and incident reporting; participate in root-cause analyses and continuous improvement.
- Represent the company with professionalism to passengers, regulators, and industry partners.
- Support training and simulator sessions; contribute to SOP development and updates.
Qualification
- Airline Transport Pilot (ATP) certificate or equivalent; current with a valid 1st Class Medical Certificate.
- Minimum 6,000 total flight hours with at least 2,000 hours as PIC on multi-engine jets.
- Recent experience as Captain on multi-crew jet operations with IFR rating.
- Type rating on Boeing 737/787 or Airbus A320 family preferred; willingness to obtain required type ratings.
- Strong CRM, leadership, and decision-making under pressure; excellent communication skills.
- Proficient in flight planning tools, FMS, ARINC, and standard operating procedures; ability to adapt to dynamic conditions.
- Legal eligibility to work in the United States; willingness to relocate to Seattle area or operate from Seattle base.
- Bachelor's degree preferred; aviation industry certifications and ongoing training are a plus.
