Job description

Harbor & Ridge Law Partners, a leading mid-sized firm in New York City, seeks a Senior Corporate Attorney to join our growing practice. You will lead complex transactions, advise clients on risk and governance, and mentor junior attorneys.

As a senior member of the team, you will oversee deal execution, manage cross-border matters, and collaborate with partners to shape strategy for high-profile clients.

Responsibility

  • Lead and manage complex corporate transactions including mergers, acquisitions, joint ventures, and corporate restructurings.
  • Provide strategic legal advice to clients on governance, regulatory compliance, and risk management.
  • Draft, review, and negotiate sophisticated contracts and ancillary agreements.
  • Oversee due diligence projects and coordinate cross-functional teams across functions.
  • Mentor and develop junior associates and paralegals; contribute to a strong and inclusive culture.
  • Partner with practice group leaders to drive client development and contribute to business growth.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of relevant laws and industry standards; implement best practices.

Qualification

  • Juris Doctor from an accredited law school; admitted to practice in New York or willing to seek admission within a specified period.
  • Minimum of 6-9 years of corporate law experience, with emphasis on M&A, securities, and governance matters.
  • Strong drafting, negotiating, and analytical skills, with a proven track record of successful deal outcomes.
  • Excellent client management and communication abilities; ability to lead teams and manage complex matters.
  • Ability to work cross-functionally with finance, tax, and risk management teams; high levels of integrity and ethics.
  • Regulatory familiarity with securities rules and corporate governance standards.
  • Leadership mindset with commitment to mentorship and professional development of junior staff.
  • Availability for occasional travel and long hours as needed to meet client deadlines.
