Responsibility
- Lead drafting, review, and negotiation of complex commercial contracts across sales, licensing, procurement, and partnerships.
- Provide strategic legal guidance to the executive team on risk, governance, privacy, and regulatory matters.
- Oversee corporate governance, board materials, and compliance programs ensuring adherence to UK law and best practices.
- Manage M&A due diligence, transaction structuring, and integration support as needed.
- Collaborate with Finance, Compliance, and Operations to identify, assess, and mitigate legal risk.
- Supervise external counsel, manage budget, and ensure timely delivery of legal services.
- Mentor junior lawyers and paralegals while building a high-performing in-house legal function.
Qualification
- Qualified UK solicitor (SRA) with 5+ years PQE in corporate, commercial, or transactional law.
- Proven track record drafting and negotiating high-value contracts and licensing agreements.
- Experience advising on corporate governance, data protection, antitrust, and regulatory compliance.
- Strong analytical, negotiation, and communication skills; ability to influence at board level.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks, priorities, and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience with M&A due diligence and integration is a plus.
- Excellent drafting, research, and problem-solving capabilities; proficient in modern legal tech tools.
