Aurora Press is seeking a strategic Senior Editor, Digital Publishing to lead editorial initiatives across our digital platforms. You will shape content strategy, oversee production from concept to distribution, collaborate with designers and marketers, and ensure quality and timeliness across all digital channels.
This is a high-impact role in a fast-growing publishing house focused on thought leadership, immersive reader experiences, and sustainable growth.
Responsibility
- Lead development and execution of the digital editorial calendar across web, app, and social platforms.
- Manage a team of editors, freelancers, and designers; set deadlines, maintain quality, and ensure consistent tone and style.
- Shape content strategy for revenue growth, including subscription products, newsletters, and sponsored content.
- Oversee end-to-end production: copyediting, fact-checking, layout, metadata optimization, and accessibility considerations.
- Collaborate with product, design, and marketing teams to optimize CMS workflows and SEO performance.
- Define and monitor KPIs; produce monthly performance reports and iterate content based on data.
- Ensure compliance with copyright, licensing, and ethical publishing standards.
- Develop strong relationships with authors, agents, and distribution partners to grow the catalog.
Qualification
- Bachelor's degree in journalism, communications, English, or related field; master's preferred.
- 5+ years of editorial experience in digital publishing, preferably with subscription or product experience.
- Proven track record in digital content strategy, SEO, and audience engagement.
- Exceptional editing, proofreading, and fact-checking skills with meticulous attention to detail.
- Experience managing editors, freelancers, and cross-disciplinary teams; strong project management.
- Proficiency with CMS platforms (WordPress, Drupal) and metadata optimization.
- Data-driven mindset with experience using analytics tools (Google Analytics, Search Console, etc.).
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills; thrive in fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
