Responsibility

  • Lead editorial planning and newsroom operations to ensure timely, accurate coverage across print and digital platforms.
  • Coordinate investigative reporting from conception to publication, including source development, document review, and risk assessment.
  • Edit, fact-check, and approve copy for style, tone, and accuracy in line with AP style.
  • Manage production calendars, assign stories, and monitor progress to meet deadlines.
  • Collaborate with multimedia teams (video, audio, graphics) to create compelling, multimedia storytelling.
  • Mentor and coach junior reporters, interns, and correspondents; provide regular feedback and growth opportunities.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with sources, partners, and community stakeholders.
  • Drive data-driven storytelling and SEO optimization to maximize reach and impact.

Qualification

  • Bachelor's degree in journalism, communications, or related field; master’s degree preferred.
  • Minimum 5 years of newsroom experience with a track record of investigative reporting and breaking news coverage.
  • Excellent writing, editing, and storytelling skills with a deep command of AP style and ethical standards.
  • Strong source development, verification, and risk assessment abilities.
  • Experience managing editors and reporters, with a proven ability to lead teams under tight deadlines.
