Responsibility
- Develop and execute enterprise investigations and feature stories that inform and engage a diverse audience.
- Conduct in-depth interviews, data gathering, and field reporting with ethical rigor.
- Collaborate with editors, photographers, and data journalists to craft multimedia stories.
- Fact-check, verify sources, and ensure accuracy under tight deadlines.
- Optimize content for digital platforms with attention to SEO and reach.
- Contribute to newsroom planning, assist with editorial calendar, and mentor junior reporters.
- Build and maintain a trusted network of sources and experts across topics.
- Engage with readers via social media and events, translating community concerns into reporting.
Qualification
- Bachelor's degree in journalism, communications, or a related field or equivalent professional experience.
- 5+ years of reporting experience in a newsroom or digital newsroom environment.
- Proven track record of investigative and deadline-driven reporting with published clips or links.
- Strong command of AP style, journalistic ethics, and media law basics.
- Excellent interviewing, storytelling, and data analysis skills.
- Proficiency in research tools, public records requests, and data visualization basics.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team under tight deadlines.
- Comfort with rapid publication cycles and multi-platform storytelling.
