Join NovaDrive Automotive Solutions GmbH, a leader in electric and autonomous mobility, as a Senior Electrical Engineer. You will design and optimize electrical architectures for next‑generation ECUs, sensors, and power electronics powering our EV and ADAS platforms.
Based in Munich, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver reliable, scalable, and compliant solutions that meet rigorous automotive standards.
As a senior member of our engineering team, you will drive technical decisions, mentor junior engineers, and contribute to hardware and software integration across the vehicle domain.
Responsibility
- Lead the design and validation of electrical architectures for ECUs, sensors, and power electronics used in EVs and ADAS systems.
- Define and optimize in-vehicle networks such as CAN, CAN FD, Ethernet, and FlexRay; ensure robust diagnostics and security.
- Collaborate with Embedded Software, Hardware, and System teams to ensure seamless integration and test coverage from concept to production.
- Model, simulate, and verify designs using MATLAB/Simulink and SPICE tools; drive design iterations based on data.
- Ensure compliance with ISO 26262 safety processes and define ASIL requirements for critical subsystems.
- Lead design reviews, maintain comprehensive documentation, and ensure traceability through the product lifecycle.
- Mentor and coach junior engineers; contribute to hiring and knowledge sharing across the team.
- Interface with suppliers and external labs for component qualification and validation testing.
Qualification
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum 5 years of hands on experience in automotive electrical or electronic system design.
- Strong expertise in ECU architectures, CAN FD, Ethernet AVB, and vehicle networks.
- Experience with AUTOSAR, DCM, diagnostics, and power management techniques.
- Proficiency in MATLAB/Simulink, SPICE, and PCB design tools; familiarity with Altium or similar.
- Solid understanding of ISO 26262 safety lifecycle and experience delivering safety analyses (HARA, FTA, FMEA).
- Excellent collaboration, communication, and problem solving abilities; fluent in English; German a plus.
