VerdantEdge Sustainability is seeking a seasoned Senior Environmental Manager to lead our environmental stewardship efforts across multiple projects in the Pacific Northwest. You will develop and implement compliance programs, oversee risk assessments, and drive continuous improvement in environmental performance, engaging with regulators, clients, and internal teams.

Responsibility
- Develop and implement comprehensive environmental management plans aligned with regulatory requirements (ISO 14001) and client expectations.
- Lead environmental health and safety risk assessments, incident investigations, and corrective action tracking across projects.
- Monitor regulatory changes and ensure proactive compliance across facilities, sites, and operations.
- Oversee data collection, analytics, and reporting of environmental performance metrics (emissions, waste, water) to leadership and stakeholders.
- Collaborate with operations, engineering, and supply chain teams to integrate environmental considerations into design, procurement, and construction activities.
- Lead internal and external audits; drive continuous improvement initiatives and ensure effective corrective actions.
- Mentor and develop junior staff; build strong relationships with regulators, clients, and community partners.
Qualification
- Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Engineering, or a related field; advanced degree preferred.
- 7+ years of experience in environmental management, regulatory compliance, and sustainability program delivery.
- Deep knowledge of regulatory frameworks (EPA, Clean Water Act, Air Quality) and ISO 14001; experience with Lead Auditor certifications is a plus.
- Strong data analytics and reporting skills, with experience in sustainability metrics (GHG, waste, water) and regulatory reporting.
- Excellent communication, project management, and stakeholder engagement abilities; proven cross-functional collaboration.
- Professional certifications such as CEM, CHMM, or ISO 14001 Lead Auditor are highly desirable.
- Ability to manage multiple projects under tight deadlines; strong problem-solving and organizational skills.
- Willingness to travel up to 15% as needed.
