GreenWave Environmental Solutions is seeking a forward-thinking Senior Environmental Manager to lead environmental compliance and sustainability initiatives across client projects in the Pacific Northwest. Responsibility
- Lead design and oversight of EHS programs across multiple sites and projects.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local environmental regulations; manage permits, reporting and audits.
- Conduct environmental risk assessments and develop practical mitigation strategies.
- Monitor performance metrics and produce clear reports for clients and leadership.
- Coordinate cross-functional teams and external vendors to implement environmental initiatives.
- Drive sustainability programs such as waste reduction, energy efficiency, and greenhouse gas reduction.
- Oversee incident investigation, corrective actions, and emergency response planning.
- Provide training and mentorship on EHS best practices and regulatory updates.
Qualification
- Bachelor's degree in environmental science, engineering or related field; master's preferred.
- 7+ years of experience in environmental management, EHS compliance or sustainability; or 5+ with a relevant advanced degree.
- Strong knowledge of EPA and state environmental regulations plus OSHA requirements.
- Proven experience leading audits, permits, and regulatory reporting.
- Excellent written and verbal communication, stakeholder management, and project management skills.
- Professional certifications such as CEM, CHMM, or PE are a plus.
- Experience with ISO 14001 or environmental management information systems and data analytics.
- Willingness to travel up to 20% as needed.
