Job description

Evergreen Pathway Environmental Solutions is seeking a Senior Environmental Manager to lead our environmental program across all operations. This strategic role focuses on regulatory compliance, sustainability initiatives, and risk reduction to protect people and the environment.

As a member of the EHS leadership team, you will partner with operations, engineering, and product teams to implement robust programs, monitor performance, and drive continuous improvement.

Responsibility

  • Lead the design, implementation, and ongoing management of environmental compliance programs, permits, and reporting in Washington state and applicable jurisdictions.
  • Develop and oversee environmental risk assessments, incident investigations, corrective action plans, and remediation projects.
  • Coordinate air, water, waste, and chemical management programs; ensure alignment with regulatory requirements and corporate standards.
  • Manage internal audits, external inspections, and regulatory agency interactions to ensure timely resolutions and favorable outcomes.
  • Drive sustainability initiatives, greenhouse gas inventories, and reporting frameworks as appropriate.
  • Lead cross functional teams, set performance goals, and provide training to operational staff on EHS best practices.
  • Prepare and present executive dashboards and metrics to monitor program effectiveness and drive continuous improvement.
  • Oversee budgeting, resource planning, and vendor management for EHS programs and projects.

Qualification

  • Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Engineering, or a related field; master's degree preferred.
  • Minimum 6+ years of experience in environmental management, EHS, or regulatory compliance in manufacturing or industrial settings.
  • Strong knowledge of federal EPA and Washington State environmental regulations; experience with permits, reporting, and inspections.
  • Proven experience leading environmental audits, incident investigations, and corrective actions; professional certifications preferred.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication; ability to influence cross-functional teams and senior leadership.
  • Professional certification such as PE, CHMM, or CSP is preferred.
  • Demonstrated data-driven mindset with proficiency in MS Office and EHS software; ability to translate data into actionable insights.
  • Willingness to travel as needed and ability to work in a fast-paced, matrixed environment.
