As a Senior Executive, Direct & Japanese Corporate, you will be a key advisor to mid-market and large corporate clients, delivering tailored insurance programs and credible risk management insights. This role combines strategic client management with hands-on underwriting collaboration across direct and Japanese corporate portfolios, enabling growth for MSIG and enabling clients to secure comprehensive coverage.
In this role, you will partner with underwriters, risk engineering teams, brokers, and internal stakeholders to design, price, and implement insurance solutions across property, casualty, marine, liability, and specialty lines. You will also manage renewals, policy administration, and claims liaison to ensure exceptional service and retention. Fluency in English and business-level Japanese is a strong asset for communicating with diverse clients and partners in Singapore and across Asia.

Responsibility
- Develop and manage a portfolio of Direct and Japanese Corporate clients, delivering tailored insurance programs and exceptional service.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key accounts, brokers, and internal stakeholders across Underwriting, Claims, and Compliance.
- Lead the preparation, negotiation and presentation of multi line insurance programs including property, casualty, liability and specialty lines.
- Coordinate with underwriters to obtain terms, pricing and coverage that meet client risk profiles and budgets.
- Conduct client risk assessments, exposure analyses and risk management recommendations to support sound risk transfer decisions.
- Drive new business development and renewals through compelling proposals and impactful client meetings in English and Japanese where required.
- Ensure accurate policy administration, renewals, endorsements, and claims liaison to maintain high client satisfaction and retention.
- Collaborate cross functionally with Sales, Marketing, and Operations to deliver a seamless client experience.
Qualification
- Bachelor's degree in business, finance, insurance or a related field
- Minimum 5 years of experience in corporate insurance with direct and or Japanese corporate client exposure
- Strong knowledge of Singapore insurance market and MSIG products
- Excellent English communication; business level Japanese is highly desirable
- Proven client relationship management and negotiation skills
- Analytical mindset with ability to interpret risk data and pricing options
- Proficiency with CRM systems and MS Excel; experience with proposals and presentations
- Professional certifications such as CII/ACII are a plus
