We are seeking a Senior Fisheries Scientist to drive innovative research in stock assessment, ecosystem-based management, and responsible aquaculture development. You will collaborate with government agencies, NGOs, and industry partners to translate science into practical solutions that protect biodiversity and support resilient coastal economies.

Responsibility
- Lead and coordinate field and lab studies focused on stock assessment, recruitment, and habitat effects.
- Design, implement, and manage monitoring programs; ensure data quality, traceability, and reproducibility.
- Analyze data using R, Python, and GIS tools; translate results into practical management recommendations.
- Collaborate with government agencies, fisheries managers, and industry partners to inform policy and regulatory decisions.
- Mentor junior scientists and technicians; oversee field crews and sampling campaigns.
- Prepare technical reports, grant proposals, and peer-reviewed manuscripts; present findings to stakeholders.
- Lead initiatives on sustainable aquaculture development aligned with environmental standards and social responsibility.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and ethical standards; advance risk assessment and mitigation strategies.
Qualification
- Master's or PhD in Fisheries Science, Ecology, Marine Biology, or a related field.
- 8+ years of experience in fisheries research, stock assessment, or aquaculture development.
- Strong quantitative skills: statistical modeling, R or Python, GIS, and data visualization.
- Experience with field sampling, data management, quality assurance, and project management.
- Proven track record of cross-disciplinary collaboration and stakeholder engagement.
- Excellent scientific writing and verbal communication; ability to translate complex science for diverse audiences.
- Knowledge of regulatory frameworks and sustainability certifications (MSC, ASC) is a plus.
- Willingness to travel for field work and partner meetings as required.
