HarvestPeak Foods is a leading innovator in premium prepared foods. We are seeking a Senior Food Quality Assurance Manager to lead our QA program in New York. You will steward safety, compliance, and product excellence across manufacturing, supply chain, and new product development.
In this role, you will partner with operations, R&D, and suppliers to uphold our commitment to quality from farm to fork. This is a hands-on leadership position with significant impact on our brand and customer trust.
Responsibility
- Lead the development and maintenance of QA policies, SOPs, and HACCP plans across facilities.
- Perform risk assessments and implement corrective actions to resolve quality issues.
- Oversee QC testing, microbiological assays, and product release processes.
- Coordinate internal audits and supplier audits to ensure compliance with GMP and regulatory standards.
- Collaborate with R&D on new product development to embed quality by design.
- Monitor supplier performance and conduct supplier quality reviews for critical ingredients.
- Lead continuous improvement projects to reduce defects and waste.
Qualification
- Bachelor's degree in Food Science, Microbiology, or related field; advanced degree preferred.
- Minimum 5 years in food quality assurance, with leadership experience in manufacturing or facilities.
- Strong knowledge of HACCP, GMP, SQF or BRC standards and regulatory requirements (FDA/USDA).
- Proven track record in audits, CAPA, and supplier quality management.
- Excellent data analysis skills using Excel or QC software; comfortable with trend analysis and metrics.
- Strong communication, project management, and cross functional collaboration abilities.
- Ability to lead continuous improvement initiatives in a fast-paced environment.
