Job description

Join Harvest & Co. Foods, a premium producer of clean-label snacks and meals. We’re seeking a Senior Food Safety & Compliance Manager to lead our QA & regulatory programs across production facilities.

In this role, you will own HACCP, GMP, and SQF/FSSC 22000 programs, supplier qualification, complaint investigations, and product recalls. You’ll collaborate with Operations, R&D, and Supply Chain to ensure safety and quality from farm to fork.

Responsibility

  • Lead development, implementation, and ongoing maintenance of HACCP, GMP, and SQF/FSSC 22000 programs across all production lines.
  • Own internal audit program and regulatory inspections, ensuring readiness and rapid corrective actions.
  • Manage supplier qualification, approved supplier program, and ongoing supplier scorecards.
  • Lead product investigations, root cause analyses, and CAPA plans for quality incidents.
  • Collaborate with R&D to transfer new products into scalable, compliant manufacturing processes.
  • Provide training and mentorship to QA inspectors and operations staff on food safety and quality systems.
  • Develop and monitor KPI dashboards for quality metrics, yield, and safety performance.
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable regulations (FDA, local health authorities) and industry standards.

Qualification

  • Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Microbiology, or a related field; advanced degree preferred.
  • Minimum 5 years of progressive experience in food safety, QA, or regulatory compliance in manufacturing.
  • Strong knowledge of HACCP, GMP, SQF/FSSC 22000, and regulatory requirements (FDA, USDA).
  • Proven experience leading internal and external audits and CAPA programs.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and data-driven decision-making skills.
  • Outstanding communication and cross-functional leadership abilities.
  • Proficiency with quality management systems, document control, and statistical tools (Minitab, Excel).
