NexaTech Innovations is seeking a strategic and hands-on Senior Intellectual Property Counsel to protect our fast-growing portfolio of technologies. This role combines patent and trademark prosecution, licensing, and cross-functional collaboration to shape the company's global IP strategy.

Responsibility
- Develop and execute comprehensive IP strategy for hardware and software products, including patent and trademark protection, freedom-to-operate analyses, and competitive landscaping.
- Manage patent prosecution and examination processes, including drafting and filing patent applications, office action responses, and coordination with outside counsel.
- Oversee trademark portfolio management, including clearance, filing, monitoring, enforcement, and renewal strategies across multiple jurisdictions.
- Negotiate and draft IP licensing agreements, collaboration agreements, NDAs, and technology transfer arrangements with partners, vendors, and customers.
- Provide proactive IP risk assessment, due diligence for partnerships and M&A, and support product compliance.
- Collaborate with product, engineering, marketing, and business development teams to embed IP considerations into product roadmaps and go-to-market plans.
Qualification
- Juris Doctor from an accredited law school and admission to the California Bar (or eligible).
- Minimum 6 years of in-house or law firm experience in intellectual property, with emphasis on patent prosecution and trademark management.
- Demonstrated track record in patent drafting and prosecution, preferably in software, hardware, AI, semiconductors, or biotech.
- Strong understanding of IP laws and regulations across major jurisdictions; experience with international filings is a plus.
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to work cross-functionally in a fast-paced tech environment and manage multiple priorities.
- Familiarity with IP analytics tools, patent landscaping, and licensing metrics.
