Beacon Law Partners, a leading NYC law firm, is seeking a highly skilled Senior Lawyer to lead sophisticated commercial and corporate matters. This role offers meaningful client exposure, leadership opportunities, and a path to partnership for the right candidate.
Key focus areas include contract negotiation, M&A support, corporate governance, regulatory compliance, and cross-border advisory. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, mentor junior attorneys, and drive high-quality legal outcomes.
Responsibility
- Lead and manage complex corporate transactions from inception to closing, including drafting and negotiating key agreements.
- Counsel on corporate governance, regulatory compliance, risk management, and strategic planning.
- Negotiate and draft commercial contracts, NDAs, service agreements, and strategic partnerships.
- Oversee due diligence, integration planning, and post-closing matters for M&A deals.
- Provide senior-level advisory to clients on risk mitigation and litigation avoidance strategies.
- Mentor and develop junior associates; contribute to knowledge sharing and professional development.
- Collaborate with partners on business development initiatives and client relationship management.
Qualification
- J.D. from an ABA-approved law school; admitted to the New York Bar (or eligible for admission).
- Minimum 6 years of experience in corporate and commercial law, with substantial M&A exposure.
- Proven ability to lead negotiations, close deals, and draft sophisticated agreements.
- Strong knowledge of corporate governance, securities, and regulatory frameworks.
- Excellent analytical, drafting, and communication skills; client-focused mindset.
- Ability to manage multiple matters, prioritize effectively, and meet deadlines under pressure.
- Demonstrated leadership, mentorship, and collaborative approach within a team.
