As a Senior Legal Consultant, you will partner with cross-functional teams to assess regulatory risk, lead contract reviews, and provide actionable guidance on corporate governance, privacy, data protection, and litigation readiness.

Responsibility
- Lead regulatory risk assessments across financial services, technology, and healthcare clients, translating complex rules into practical guidance.
- Draft, review, and negotiate contracts, data privacy addenda, and vendor agreements with a focus on risk allocation and compliance.
- Develop and implement regulatory compliance programs, including policies, training materials, and auditing plans.
- Advise on corporate governance, board advisory matters, and fiduciary duties to support strategic decision-making.
- Perform due diligence for mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, and third-party integrations.
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams to remediate findings and monitor remediation plans.
- Provide litigation support and pre-trial discovery assistance as needed.
- Stay current with evolving laws and regulations and translate changes into actionable business impact analyses.
Qualification
- Juris Doctor degree from an ABA-accredited law school; active bar admission in New York or eligibility to obtain
- Minimum 6-8 years of experience in regulatory compliance, corporate law, or risk management
- Proven track record advising on data privacy, antitrust, AML/KYC, or sector-specific regulations
- Excellent contract drafting and negotiation skills; strong analytical and research abilities
- Ability to communicate complex legal concepts to non-legal stakeholders
- Experience leading cross-functional initiatives and training teams
- Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving and project-management skills
- Proficiency in legal research tools (Westlaw, Lexis) and compliance platforms
