Responsibility
- Lead and manage complex commercial and civil litigation matters from initiation through trial and appellate stages
- Develop case strategy, oversee discovery, and coordinate with expert witnesses
- Draft motions, pleadings, briefs, and settlement agreements with precision and speed
- Mentor junior associates, review work product, and ensure adherence to firm standards
- Advise clients on risk, settlement options, and regulatory implications
- Engage in negotiation with opposing counsel to achieve favorable resolutions
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including compliance and corporate departments
- Maintain meticulous matter budgets and track case milestones to meet deadlines
Qualification
- Juris Doctor degree from an ABA-accredited law school
- Active license to practice law in New York or eligible for in-house admission; NY bar admission required
- Minimum 8-10 years of prior litigation experience in a reputed law firm or corporate practice
- Proven track record of managing high-stakes disputes and achieving favorable outcomes
- Excellent written and oral advocacy, with strong briefing and argument skills
- Ability to work independently and lead teams in a fast-paced environment
