Responsibility

  • Lead process design and optimization for new and existing manufacturing lines using Lean, Six Sigma, and standard work principles.
  • Develop and validate manufacturing processes, including NPI readiness, PFMEA, capability studies, and control plans.
  • Collaborate with R&D and suppliers to release robust, manufacturable product designs.
  • Lead root cause analysis and corrective actions for process deviations with data-driven decision making.
  • Drive cost reduction and efficiency improvements through line balancing, takt time analysis, and automation opportunities.
  • Mentor production teams on best practices, operator training, and standardized work documentation.
  • Own manufacturing data reporting, KPIs, and continuous improvement roadmaps.
  • Ensure compliance with quality systems, EHS, and regulatory requirements as applicable.

Qualification

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Industrial, or Manufacturing Engineering or related field
  • Minimum 5 years of hands-on manufacturing experience in a precision metalworking environment
  • Strong knowledge of Lean, Six Sigma, and statistical methods
  • Proficient in CAD tools (SolidWorks or similar) and process simulation
  • Experience with PFMEA, control plans, SPC, and capability studies
  • Excellent problem-solving, communication, and project management skills
  • Availability to work on-site in Charlotte, NC with some travel as needed
