NovaForge Manufacturing is a leading provider of high-precision metal components for the automotive sector. We are seeking a results-driven Senior Manufacturing Engineer to join our Detroit, MI team. This role focuses on designing, validating, and optimizing production processes to improve quality, throughput, and safety.

Responsibility
- Lead process improvement initiatives to optimize throughput, quality, and cycle time.
- Design and validate manufacturing processes, fixtures, and tooling to meet quality and cost targets.
- Drive lean manufacturing, waste reduction, 5S implementation, and Kaizen events.
- Collaborate with QA, maintenance, and supply chain to ensure robust production and uptime.
- Develop and maintain process documentation, control plans, PFMEA, and work instructions.
- Mentor operators and technicians; lead training on new equipment and procedures.
- Analyze production data (SPC, OEE, MES) and lead capital projects from conception to commissioning.
Qualification
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Industrial, or Manufacturing Engineering or closely related field.
- 5+ years of manufacturing engineering experience; automotive or metal fabrication background preferred.
- Strong knowledge of lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, PFMEA, control plans, and continuous improvement methodologies.
- Proficient in CAD (SolidWorks/AutoCAD) and data analysis tools; familiarity with MES/ERP systems.
- Proven track record managing capital projects and equipment validation; excellent project management skills.
- Excellent problem-solving, communication, and cross-functional collaboration abilities.
- Ability to travel up to 10% and lift up to 25-40 lbs as needed.
