NorthPeak Precision Manufacturing is seeking a results-driven Senior Manufacturing Engineer to lead process improvements across our high-volume assembly lines. This role combines hands-on engineering with cross-functional collaboration to deliver measurable efficiency gains, quality improvements, and cost reductions.
Location: Raleigh, NC; on-site with occasional hybrid flexibility after ramp-up.

Responsibility
- Lead engineering design and optimization of high-volume production processes to meet quality, cost, and delivery targets.
- Apply lean manufacturing and Six Sigma methodologies to reduce waste, cycle times, and variability.
- Collaborate with Product Development, Quality, and Maintenance to ensure robust manufacturing processes and reliable equipment.
- Develop and manage process validation, capability studies, control plans, PFMEA, and statistical monitoring.
- Lead continuous improvement projects with clear ROI, tracking milestones and benefits.
- Mentor and coach junior engineers and technicians; support shop floor troubleshooting and root-cause analysis.
- Lead capital project scoping, vendor selection, installation, and commissioning; ensure safety and regulatory compliance.
Qualification
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Industrial, or Manufacturing Engineering; Master’s preferred.
- 5+ years of manufacturing engineering or process improvement experience in a high-volume environment.
- Deep knowledge of lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, SPC, DOE and statistical analysis.
- Proficiency with CAD tools (e.g., SolidWorks) and manufacturing execution systems (MES) or ERP platforms.
- Experience with automation, robotics, or assembly line optimization; familiarity with safety standards (OSHA).
- Strong problem-solving, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
- Project management capability; Lean Six Sigma Black Belt or PMP certification is a plus.
- Ability to read blueprints, process instructions, and control plans; strong data-driven decision making.
