Job description
NovaForge Industries is seeking a Senior Manufacturing Engineer to drive process optimization across our assembly and machining cells. This role blends hands-on shop-floor leadership with data-driven decision making to improve throughput, quality, and safety.
You will own the design, validation, and deployment of standard work, process layouts, and control plans while collaborating with design, quality, maintenance, and supply chain teams to deliver measurable performance gains.
Responsibility
- Lead the design and optimization of manufacturing processes and cell layouts to improve throughput and quality.
- Develop and maintain standard work, work instructions, PFMEA, control plans, and process validation protocols.
- Apply Lean, Six Sigma, and DOE methodologies to reduce waste, cycle time, and cost.
- Analyze process data, generate actionable insights, and lead cost- reduction and efficiency initiatives.
- Collaborate with design, quality, maintenance, and supply chain to ensure robust, scalable solutions.
- Lead root cause investigations, CAPA, and preventive actions across multiple shifts.
- Mentor and train manufacturing engineers and shop floor staff on new processes and best practices.
- Ensure safety, regulatory, and environmental compliance on all manufacturing activities.
Qualification
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Industrial, or Manufacturing Engineering or a related field; Master’s preferred.
- 5+ years of manufacturing engineering or operations experience in a high-mix, high-volume environment.
- Strong knowledge of Lean, Six Sigma, SPC, DOE, and statistical analysis tools (Minitab/JMP).
- Experience with ERP/MES systems and CAD tools; familiarity with automation and robotics a plus.
- Ability to read blueprints and process flow diagrams; solid PFMEA and control plan experience.
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and project management skills.
- Willingness to travel up to 10-15% as needed to support plants and customers.
