Join Apex SeaTech Solutions, a leading maritime technology provider enabling safer and more efficient sea transport. We are seeking a Senior Maritime Navigation Specialist to drive voyage planning, navigation safety, and support operations across global fleets.
In this role, you will collaborate with fleet operations, bridge teams, and shore-based analysts to optimize voyages using ECDIS, AIS, weather data, and ARPA. You will mentor junior navigators, ensure compliance with COLREGs, and maintain navigational best practices.

Responsibility
- Develop and optimize voyage plans using ECDIS, ARPA, AIS, radar, and weather routing; monitor real-time navigational data to ensure safe and efficient passage.
- Ensure compliance with COLREGs, SOLAS, and applicable maritime regulations; implement navigational standards across fleets.
- Collaborate with bridge teams to execute safe navigation during all weather conditions, pilot changes, and port approaches.
- Lead navigational risk assessments, update standard operating procedures, and oversee incident investigations related to navigation.
- Provide navigation support for global transit operations, including dynamic rerouting in response to weather, traffic, or hazards.
- Mentor and train junior navigators; deliver technical guidance, drills, and performance feedback.
- Analyze meteorological data, tides, currents, and sea state to inform routes, fuel efficiency, and safety margins.
Qualification
- Bachelor's degree in Nautical Science, Marine Transportation, or a related field; advanced nautical certifications preferred.
- Minimum 5 to 7 years of professional navigation experience, with demonstrated leadership in bridge or fleet operations.
- Extensive experience with ECDIS (preferably IMO-approved systems), ARPA, AIS, radar, and voyage planning software.
- Strong knowledge of COLREGs, SOLAS, STCW conventions, and maritime safety regulations.
- Proven ability to perform navigational risk assessments, weather routing, and incident investigations.
- Excellent communication, decision-making under pressure, and ability to mentor team members.
- Proficiency in English; additional languages are a plus; willingness to travel as required.
