We are seeking a skilled Maritime Navigation Specialist to lead navigation operations, ensure compliance, and collaborate with aboard crews and port authorities.
Based in Singapore, you will work with a global team to optimize routing, monitor vessel performance, and support clients with training and on-site deployments. Responsibility
- Lead voyage planning and route optimization using ECDIS ARPA radar and AIS
- Monitor vessel performance and ensure compliance with SOLAS and COLREGs
- Coordinate with bridge teams and port authorities for safe and efficient operations
- Configure and validate navigation systems, charts, and AIS data
- Develop and deliver crew training on navigation tools and safety procedures
- Collaborate with software and hardware teams to implement system upgrades
- Analyze weather and sea state data to inform routing decisions
- Prepare and review navigational documentation and incident reports
Qualification
- Minimum bachelor degree in nautical science, marine engineering, or related field
- Professional navigator certificate with valid STCW endorsements
- Extensive hands-on experience with ECDIS, ARPA radar, and AIS systems
- Strong knowledge of COLREGs, SOLAS, and maritime safety management systems
- Proven track record in voyage planning and real-time navigation decision making
- Excellent communication and cross-disciplinary collaboration skills
- Fluent English, additional languages advantageous
- Willingness to travel periodically for client deployments
