Global Oceanic Shipping Co. invites a Senior Maritime Navigation Specialist to elevate voyage planning and bridge operations across global routes. This role blends expert navigational skills with leadership, data-driven decisions, and a commitment to safety and efficiency.
As part of our navigational center, you’ll collaborate with Masters, Fleet Operations, and Marine Incident Response teams to optimize voyage outcomes and ensure compliance with international standards.
Responsibility
- Lead comprehensive voyage planning, weather routing, and contingency management for oceangoing vessels.
- Oversee ECDIS readiness, ARPA operations, and AIS data integrity on the bridge.
- Provide real-time navigational guidance during high-risk passages and dynamic weather systems.
- Coordinate with Masters and Fleet Operations to optimize fuel efficiency and port call timing.
- Mentor junior navigators on BRM, COLREGS, and regulatory compliance.
- Maintain accurate navigational data, logs, and incident reporting for audits.
- Support crisis response and incident investigation with data-driven analyses.
Qualification
- Certificate of Competency as Master or Chief Mate (STCW) with relevant endorsements.
- Extensive experience with ECDIS, ARPA, AIS, and integrated bridge systems.
- Strong knowledge of COLREGS, SOLAS, and maritime safety protocols.
- Proven track record in voyage planning, weather routing, and risk assessment.
- Excellent decision-making, leadership, and communication skills.
- Ability to work under pressure in international, multi-cultural teams.
- Proficiency in data analysis, navigational software, and incident reporting.
