As a Senior Meteorologist, you will combine observational data, modeling, and domain expertise to produce accurate forecasts and climate analyses for clients and internal teams. You will be a key contributor to our forecasting platform, collaborate with researchers, and mentor junior staff.

Responsibility

  • Lead collection, quality control, and analysis of atmospheric observations (surface, upper-air, radar, satellite).
  • Develop, validate, and operationalize numerical weather prediction models and data assimilation techniques.
  • Produce high quality forecast products, including probabilistic forecasts and warnings for clients and internal stakeholders.
  • Translate scientific findings into clear, actionable briefings for non technical audiences.
  • Collaborate with R and D and data engineering teams to improve forecasting systems and automation.
  • Mentor and train junior meteorologists and interns.
  • Contribute to publications, presentations, and client workshops to showcase capabilities.

Qualification

  • Master's degree in Meteorology, Atmospheric Science, or a closely related field.
  • 5+ years of professional meteorology or forecasting experience; strong experience with NWP and data assimilation.
  • Proficiency in Python and MATLAB or R for data analysis; comfortable with large datasets and HPC environments.
  • Strong knowledge of radar, satellite, radiosonde, and surface observations; familiarity with GIS tools.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication; ability to convey complex science to diverse audiences.
  • Proven ability to work in multidisciplinary teams; strong problem solving and critical thinking skills.
  • Publications or conference presentations are a plus.
