Join Nimbus Analytics as a Senior Meteorologist to lead weather analytics and forecast development. You will drive forecast accuracy and climate analytics used by clients across aviation, energy, agriculture, and risk management sectors.

We are seeking a collaborative, results-driven scientist who can translate complex weather data into actionable insights and scalable tools. You will work with a cross-functional team of data scientists, software engineers, and researchers to design, implement, and validate predictive models, data pipelines, and visualization dashboards.

In this role, you will contribute to strategic forecasting initiatives, mentor junior meteorologists, and communicate findings to both technical and non-technical stakeholders. The position offers opportunities for leadership, research direction, and applied meteorology impact.

Responsibility

  • Lead development and validation of advanced weather forecasting models and ensemble methods.
  • Design, implement, and monitor data pipelines for real-time and historical meteorological data.

  • Interpret model results, quantify uncertainty, and communicate insights to technical and non-technical audiences.

Qualification

  • Proficiency in Python (NumPy, SciPy, pandas), R, MATLAB; strong data analysis skills.
  • Experience with numerical weather prediction models, ensemble forecasting, and model evaluation metrics.
  • Strong data visualization and communication skills; ability to convey complex results to diverse audiences.
  • Experience with GIS, remote sensing, and cloud computing (AWS or GCP); familiarity with containerization (Docker).
  • Track record of collaboration and cross-functional project leadership; publications or conference presentations are a plus.
  • Legal right to work in the United States; ability to travel as needed.
