PackNova Solutions, a leading packaging innovator, is hiring a Senior Packaging Engineer to drive end-to-end packaging design and optimization for consumer goods. This role blends materials science, design thinking, and manufacturing excellence to deliver sustainable, cost-effective packaging solutions.
In this role you will partner with R&D, procurement, and production teams to deliver packaging that protects product integrity, reduces waste, and improves line efficiency.
Responsibility
- Lead end-to-end packaging design and validation for multiple product lines.
- Collaborate with R&D, procurement, and manufacturing to optimize materials, weight, and cost.
- Develop and maintain packaging specifications, bill of materials, and supplier requirements.
- Drive sustainability initiatives, recyclability improvements, and packaging metrics across projects.
- Conduct risk assessments, develop test protocols, and oversee quality control for packaging performance.
- Manage packaging programs, timelines, and cross-functional teams to meet launches.
- Evaluate equipment and process changes to improve line efficiency and throughput.
Qualification
- Bachelor's degree in Packaging Engineering, Materials Science, or related field.
- 5+ years of experience in packaging design, development, or operations within consumer goods.
- Strong knowledge of packaging materials, structural design, and testing methods (drop, compression, etc.).
- Proficiency in CAD software (SolidWorks, AutoCAD) and 3D modeling; familiarity with packaging simulation tools.
- Experience with sustainability initiatives, recyclability, and regulatory requirements.
- Excellent cross-functional communication and project management skills; ability to manage multiple launches.
- Knowledge of GMP/ISO quality systems is a plus.
