We are seeking a Senior Packaging Engineer to own the development and optimization of packaging solutions across multiple product lines. Responsibility
- Lead end-to-end packaging development from concept to production launch for multiple SKUs.
- Collaborate with R&D, engineering, procurement, and operations to design cost-efficient packaging solutions.
- Manage design iterations, BOMs, and supplier qualifications to meet quality and cost targets.
- Validate packaging performance through testing (drop, vibration, moisture) and digital modeling.
- Oversee scale-up, pilot runs, and line trials to ensure smooth transfer to production.
- Ensure compliance with packaging standards, regulatory requirements, and sustainability goals.
- Mentor junior engineers and lead design reviews to drive best practices.
Qualification
- Bachelor's degree in Packaging Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Materials Science, or a related field.
- 5+ years of packaging design, development, or manufacturing experience.
- Strong proficiency with CAD tools (e.g., SolidWorks) and packaging simulations.
- Knowledge of rigid and flexible packaging materials, laminations, and converting processes.
- Experience with BOM management, ERP systems (SAP/Oracle), and project leadership.
- Excellent problem-solving, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
