Job description
AzureAir is seeking an experienced Senior Pilot to join our expanding flight operations team based in Seattle. You will pilot modern jet aircraft on domestic and international routes, uphold exceptional safety and service standards, and contribute to continuous improvements in flight operations.
As a Senior Pilot, you will lead preflight planning, participate in CRM, mentor junior pilots, and collaborate with dispatch and maintenance teams to ensure on-time, safe arrivals.
Responsibility
- Lead and execute flight operations as PIC or SIC on assigned missions.
- Conduct thorough preflight planning, weather briefings, flight planning, weight and balance, fuel calculations, and performance checks.
- Ensure full regulatory compliance (FAA), company SOPs, and CRM standards; manage risk and safety processes.
- Monitor and manage flight deck operations, automation, checklist discipline, and contingency planning.
- Mentor and coach junior pilots; participate in training and evaluations.
- Collaborate with dispatch, maintenance, and ATC to optimize routes and on-time performance.
- Represent AzureAir professionally to passengers, regulators, and stakeholders.
Qualification
- ATP certificate or equivalent international license valid for the operating region.
- Current FAA medical certificate (First Class) or appropriate regional medical class.
- Type rating on at least one jet aircraft; recent flight experience within last 12 months.
- 5,000+ total flight hours with 1,500+ hours as PIC on multi-engine jets.
- Strong IFR proficiency, CRM, and leadership capabilities.
- Excellent communication, teamwork, and problem-solving skills.
- Willingness to travel internationally; eligible to work in the United States.
- Ability to operate in a fast-paced, safety-focused environment and maintain composure under pressure.
